Widely known as the Father of Philippine Conceptual Art, Roberto Chabet often described his works as “creatures of memory,” with him serving as a “custodian.” These works, which are part of his China Collage series created between 1980 and 1999, feature elements taken from his immediate surroundings, with the collages serving as a “window” to the point of their creation.
