Collaborating with Olympic Gold Medalist Filipino weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz Naranjo, James Clar creates a visual record of gravity, power, and energy. Sheets of deformed metal have been bent and crumpled by the force of Diaz dropping her barbells on top. The piece is a monument to Filipino power and tenacity in the face of internal and external forces.
